Association of Friends and Supporters of Cottbus Zoo

Our animal park supporters' association was founded on 3 March 1994 and has 320 members. Its aim is to promote Cottbus Zoo and its zoological concerns.

To support the zoo's work to protect animal species and promote understanding and knowledge of animals and nature among the local population To maintain and develop the zoo as an educational and cultural centre for the city of Cottbus.

As a member of the Association of Sponsors and Friends of Cottbus Zoo

  •     you have the right to use the facilities of the zoo and to take part in guided tours and lecture events in order to represent the interests of the zoo and the Friends' Association
        receive the association's publication ‘Marabu’ free of charge
  •     you have the advantage of being informed directly and expertly about all interesting events at the zoo (e.g. animal births, construction work, etc.)
  •     you can take part in excursions to other zoos and animal parks at a particularly favourable price
        membership fees and donations are tax deductible
